Master challenging behaviour WITHOUT losing connection
The Four F’s Method
The Fourth F’s Method is a clinically informed, trauma-aware parenting program designed to support parents navigating challenging, persistent or complex behaviours in children.
UNDERSTAND THE BEHAVIOUR. MASTER THE TANTRUMS. TRANSFORM THE WAY YOU PARENT.
BEST KNOWN FORYou’re not here to just feel dragged through parenting; you’re here to thrive. You’ve tried every course. You’ve read every book. Maybe you’ve even tried numerous therapies. But now you are at a brick wall.
I help exhausted parents like you to turn what feels like a constant battle every single day into responsive, loving communication. Stop accepting that this is just your life now and start loving being a parent again.
TRANSFORMING CHAOS INTO CALM, CONNECTED RELATIONSHIPS
IS THIS PROGRAM RIGHT FOR YOU?YOU FEEL LIKE YOU’VE TRIED EVERYTHING, AND NOTHING SEEMS TO WORK…
-
Arguments, meltdowns, aggression, defiance or constant power struggles are leaving everyone feeling overwhelmed. You’re trading one battle for another or choosing the path of least resistance.
-
You’ve tried different strategies, read the advice, and promised yourself you’d handle things differently next time but somehow, you keep ending up in the same frustrating cycle. The meltdowns, arguments and power struggles continue, and you’re left wondering what you’re missing, what to try next, and whether anything will actually work.
-
You let things slide because you don’t have the energy for another meltdown, then find yourself constantly saying no, enforcing rules and following through when things escalate. You’re negotiating over screen time, repeating instructions ten times, giving in just to keep the peace, then feeling guilty and overcompensating by becoming stricter the next day. Before you know it, home feels like a constant cycle of power struggles, and you’re left wondering how to be firm without feeling like the bad guy.

MEET BETHANIE
THERAPIST & PARENT COACH
I work with parents and families who are navigating challenging behaviour, big emotions and the everyday struggles that can make parenting feel overwhelming.
My work is grounded in understanding the child behind the behaviour, recognising the factors that influence how children respond to the world around them, and helping parents develop practical, compassionate ways to respond. I believe effective parenting isn’t about being perfect, having all the answers or controlling every behaviour. It’s about understanding your child, building a strong relationship, setting appropriate boundaries and feeling confident in how you respond when things get difficult.
I created The Fourth F Method to give parents a practical, clinically informed approach to managing challenging behaviour; one that goes beyond simply trying to stop unwanted behaviours.
When the same struggles happen day after day, it’s easy to feel caught between giving in to keep the peace and becoming stricter when nothing seems to work. I wanted to help parents understand why behaviour happens, respond more intentionally and set boundaries without sacrificing connection.
At the heart of the method are four principles: Firm, Fun, Fair and Fearless. This is a running joke in my family of how my mother approached parenting, although the Fourth F in our household was a lot cheekier than ‘fearless’. Together, these principles aim to balance warmth with structure, compassion with accountability, and connection with confident boundary-setting.

FAQ

When you're investing in your family's wellbeing, it's natural to want to know whether a program is worth the cost.
Individual support can add up over time. For comparison, my one-on-one sessions are $200 each, private psychology sessions can cost around $200–$330, and paediatric occupational therapy sessions can range from approximately $268–$302, depending on the provider and service.
The Fourth F Method™ offers a different kind of support: a structured parenting program that brings together eight modules, practical guides, workbooks and strategies you can revisit as your family needs them.
Rather than focusing on just one challenge at a time, you'll explore the bigger picture — understanding behaviour, managing your own responses, strengthening connection, improving communication and setting confident boundaries.
If you choose Premium, you'll also receive individual sessions with me to help you explore your family's priorities and develop a personalised approach.
The course is an opportunity to build your parenting knowledge, develop practical skills and have a framework to return to as new challenges arise.
Ultimately, the best investment is one that fits your family's needs, your budget and the level of support you're looking for.

There’s no shortage of parenting advice online, and much of it can be genuinely helpful. But when you're dealing with challenging behaviour day after day, knowing what to do and knowing how to apply it to your own family can be two very different things.
The Fourth F Method™ brings together my professional training, qualifications and 10 years of experience across foster care services, psychiatric settings, behavioural therapy and private practice into one structured, practical parenting program.
As an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, I've developed an approach informed by my experience working with individuals and families, understanding complex behaviours and recognising the many factors that can influence how children respond to the world around them.
And if you choose Premium, you'll also receive one-on-one support with me to help you identify your priorities and apply the strategies to your family's circumstances.
-
Every child is different, and no parenting strategy works every time, in every situation. I can't promise that every tool will work for your child, but I can give you something much more valuable than a one-size-fits-all solution: a whole toolbox of strategies to draw from.
The Fourth F Method™ explores a range of practical approaches to understanding behaviour, managing big emotions, strengthening connection, encouraging cooperation and setting boundaries. You'll learn why certain strategies may help, when to use them and how to adapt your approach to your child's individual needs.
With my professional training and 10 years of experience across foster care, psychiatric settings, behavioural therapy and private practice, I've developed this program to give parents a broad range of practical tools rather than relying on a single technique.
If you feel you need more personalised guidance, I also offer one-on-one coaching sessions where we can explore your family's specific challenges in more depth and work together to tailor strategies to your child's individual needs.
-
Absolutely. The Fourth F Method™ is designed to help parents better understand their child's behaviour and recognise that one approach doesn't work for every child.
Whether your child has ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), is neurodivergent or experiences persistent behavioural challenges, the program explores how individual differences, emotional regulation, developmental needs and environmental factors can influence behaviour.
You'll learn a range of practical strategies to help you adapt your parenting approach, respond to challenging moments and find ways to balance connection, compassion and consistent boundaries that work for your family.
READY TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP?
You don't have to settle for the same exhausting cycles or keep wondering if there's a better way. It's time to invest in yourself, take control of your parenting journey and start making meaningful changes for your family.
